Podiatrists (Doctors of Podiatry Medicine or D.P.M.) are specialists concerned with prevention, diagnosis and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disorders affecting the human foot and its related structures. Surgical and non-surgical methods are used in treating these problems of the foot and ankle.
 
 James A. Mann D.P.M.

Dr. James Mann completed his undergraduate studies at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN. He then attended Wake Forest School of Medicine where he received his degree as a physician assistant. As a physician assistant, he practiced orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine and pediatrics. He continued his education at Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he graduated with a D.P.M. degree. He then completed a three-year residency at the Harvard teaching hospitals in Boston, MA. He served as chief resident during his last year of residency. Dr. Mann has been employed with Alexandria Clinic since February 2001.
