care for your children - general pediatric care, outpatient and inpatient,
for infants, children and adolescents. They provide primary and consultative
pediatric care for well and sick children locally and in the surrounding
area, including 24-hour-a-day pediatric coverage for newborn/obstetric-related

Brian D. Carlsen M.D. Dr. Brian
Carlsen is a native of Minnesota and graduated from high school in Ashby,
MN. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where he received his
B.A. degree magna cum laude. He then continued his education
at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, where he received his
M.S. degree in biochemistry. After completing his M.D.
degree at the University of Minnesota, he completed his pediatric residency
at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.
Dr. Carlsen joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in August 1993. He is
a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
He and his wife, KrisAnn, along with their children, reside in the Miltona
area. He enjoys music, sports and other recreational activities.

Jean K. Fahey M.D. Dr. Jean Fahey joined
the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in June 2003. She is a graduate of the University
of Pennsylvania Medical School and completed her residency at St. Christopher’s
Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, P.A. In addition, Dr. Fahey completed
a six-month fellowship in adolescent medicine at the University of Minnesota
in 1993 and received her master's degree in public health in May 2002.
Prior to joining Alexandria Clinic, P.A., she was employed 22 years with MeritCare in Fargo, ND.
She especially enjoys working with adolescents and children with Attention Deficit
Disorder. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, gardening, bird
watching, and she plans to fish more with her husband now that their three children
are grown.

Mechele M. Peterson M.D.
Dr. Mechele Peterson is board certified in pediatrics. She received her
M.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in
Grand Forks, ND
in 1991. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital
in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Peterson joined Alexandria Clinic October
2007. |
