Gynecologists are physicians trained specifically in Women's
Health issues. Our gynecologists/obstetricians provide primary health-care
for women, along with care for normal and high-risk pregnancies. Services
include, ultrasound, prenatal care, contraception, hormone replacement therapy
and surgery. Gynecologic procedures are performed both at the Alexandria
Clinic and Douglas County Hospital. These procedures range from colposcopy
for abnormal pap smears to surgical procedures when needed.

Ross J. Anderson M.D. Dr. Ross
Anderson was born in Minneapolis, MN and educated in St. Louis Park, MN.
He is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and the St. Louis University School
of Medicine. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at
the Mayo Clinic in 1985.
Dr. Anderson is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists
and also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and
the Minnesota Obstetrical Society.
Dr. Anderson joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in 1995 after practicing
in St. Cloud for ten years. He and his wife, Carol, have four children and
reside on Lake Le Homme Dieu.

Erika L. Johnson M.D. Dr. Erika
Johnson joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in July 2003. She was born
in Iowa but finished high school, college, and medical school in Minnesota
and lived most of her adult life in the Twin Cities. She completed her
residency training in OB/GYN at Ramsey (now Regions) Hospital in St. Paul,
MN.
Her special interests include vulvar disease, infertility, pregnancy complicated
by diabetes and general OB/GYN.
Her sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Sandra Johnson and Dr. Steven Longbotham,
have lived in Alexandria and practiced family medicine here since 1986.
In her spare time, Dr. Johnson loves to cook, will play practically any
sport, “although none of them very well”, loves to bicycle and play with
her son, Spencer.

Michelle C. Mirau M.D. Dr. Michelle
Mirau grew up in Minneapolis, MN, but spent a considerable amount of time in
Alexandria at her family's cabin and her grandparents' home. She
graduated from the College of Saint Benedict's in St. Joseph, MN with a
degree in nutrition science and proceeded to attend Creighton University for
medical school.
Dr. Mirau completed her training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University
of Minnesota. Her special interests include high-risk pregnancies, laparoscopic
surgery and general obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Mirau and her husband, James, became members of the Alexandria community
in August 2007. They have one "baby", a yellow Lab named Woody.
Outside of work, Dr. Mirau enjoys running, biking, reading, and spending
time with friends and family.
