Certified Nurse Midwives (C.N.M.) specialize in caring for women
during pregnancy, labor, delivery and post delivery. Midwives also care
for adolescents and women of child-bearing age as well as during
menopausal years. Our midwives provide the water birth option for
delivery. |

Jennifer L. Janke
W.H.N.P., C.N.M.
Jennifer was born and raised in Alexandria, MN. She received her
B.S. degree in nursing from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph,
MN in 1994. She has experience working as a registered nurse in
the local community, including hospital and public health. She
completed her M.S. degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities,
with a focus in women’s health-care nurse practitioner in June 1999.
She is certified by the National Certification Corporation of the
Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties. In 2004,
she added nurse midwifery to her practice, also through the University
of Minnesota. She is certified by the American College of Nurse
Midwives.
Jennifer joined Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in
September 1999 and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a national nursing
honor society, and the American College of Nurse Midwives. Her
special interests include female adolescent health-care, menopause
issues, preventive health-care for women and pregnancy.
Jennifer and her husband, Chris, reside in
Alexandria with their two daughters. She enjoys running,
volleyball, outdoor activities, scrapbooking and spending time with
family and friends.

Chillon A. Loen, C.N.M.
Chillon was born and raised in Benson, MN. She attended Concordia
College in Moorhead, MN, where she received her B.A. degree in Nursing
in 2002. She then worked at the Douglas County Hospital for five years,
primarily at the Birthplace as a labor and delivery RN. She completed
her M.S. degree in nursing, nurse midwifery from the University of
Minnesota-Minneapolis in May 2007. She is certified through the American
Midwifery Certification Board and the American College of Nurse
Midwives. Her special interests include family planning, pregnancy,
birth and preventive health-care for women of all ages.
Chillon joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in September 2007.
Her special interests include family planning, pregnancy and birth, and
preventative healthcare for women of all ages.
Chillon lives in Alexandria and enjoys scrapbooking, sewing, outdoor
activities and spending time with family, friends and her puppy. She is
looking forward to building her practice as a certified nurse midwife at
the Alexandria Clinic, P.A.!
