Family Practice

Family Practice is a medical specialty designed to provide comprehensive health care for the individual and the family.  Our Family Practice Department sees patients of all ages and provides care with the entire family in mind.  The Family Practice physicians schedule regular appointments for routine care, but also provide urgent, unscheduled and after hours care through our Express Care Department.
 
Paul W. Bergstrand M.D.

Dr. Paul Bergstrand was born in Minneapolis, MN and raised in Jamestown, NY. He completed his undergraduate studies at Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, NY and Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN, earning his B.A. degree in 1980. Dr. Bergstrand did his residency in family medicine and community health at the University of Minnesota Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.

Dr. Bergstrand joined Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in 1987. In addition to Family Medicine, Dr. Bergstrand's expertise includes an emphasis on Allergy and Asthma Medicine.

His hobbies include hunting, tennis, travel, skiing (snow and water) and spending time with his family.


Michael L. Bristow D.O.

Dr. Michael Bristow was born in Iowa City, IA. Following several early moves, the majority of his childhood was spent in Sioux City, IA. After graduating from high school, he went on to earn his B.S. degree in Zoology at the University of Iowa. Upon completion of his undergraduate education, Dr. Bristow attended the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA. The four-year course of study was completed with the granting of a D.O. degree or doctor of osteopathic medicine degree.

Dr. Bristow’s clinical training includes a one-year rotating internship, completed in Dayton, OH and a three-year residency in family medicine completed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Dr. Bristow joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. as a member of the Family Medicine Department in August 1991. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and certified in bone densitometry.

His interests include the use of computers in medicine, outdoor activities and parenting. Dr. Bristow and his wife, Jean, have one son and one daughter.


Deborah S. Dittberner M.D.

Dr. Deborah Dittberner was born in St. Paul, MN. She graduated from Concordia Academy in 1982 and received her B.A. degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN in 1986, majoring in biology and athletic training. She then spent two years working in the health fitness industry before returning to school. In 1992, she graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her family medicine residency through the University of Minnesota at Fairview Riverside Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. She began her practice at the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in August 1995.

Her special interests include women and children’s health and sports medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Women’s Association.  Dr. Dittberner and her husband, Jay Sieling, reside in Alexandria with their three children, Emma, William and Julianna. Her interests include being a mom, reading, kayaking and playing the piano.


George F. Erhard M.D.

Dr. George Erhard was born in Waconia, MN. He went to Mankato State University, Mankato, MN, where he obtained a degree in chemistry and mathematics. Following graduation from the University of Minnesota Medical School, he completed a three-year family medicine residency in Grand Forks, ND. Dr. Erhard is a member of the Minnesota American Medical Association. He resides in Alexandria with his wife.


Steven C. Ferguson M.D.

Dr. Steven Ferguson was born and raised in Oskaloosa, IA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University in Ames, IA and the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Dr. Ferguson graduated from medical school at the University of Iowa in 1977. He completed his family medicine internship and residency programs at the Siouxland Medical Education Foundation in Sioux City, IA. Dr. Ferguson is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians.

He joined Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in 1987. Dr. Ferguson and his wife, Jan, reside in Alexandria. He enjoys family activities, playing with his grandkids, hunting and fishing.


Sandra L. Johnson M.D.

Dr. Sandra Johnson was born in Ames, IA and moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she graduated from high school. She attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Minneapolis, where she received her B.S. degree in Biological Sciences summa cum laude. After completing her M.D. degree at the University of Minnesota, she spent three years in residency at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center in St. Paul, MN.

Dr. Johnson joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in 1986. She is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians. She and her husband, Dr. Steven Longbotham, enjoy camping and canoeing. For relaxation, she enjoys quilting, gardening, reading, music and cooking with her twin sister Erika. Her greatest joy is her son, Dylan.


Paul M. Kietzmann M.D.

Dr. Paul Kietzmann grew up in Watertown, SD. He attended college at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, graduating in 2001 with a degree in Genetics and Cell Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in 2005, followed by residency training through the Sioux Falls Family Practice Residency Program in Sioux Falls, SD. He has special interests in Obstetrics and Natural Family Planning.

In his free time, Dr. Kietzmann enjoys time with his wife, Amanda, and their two children, Joshua and Joanna. He loves time spent outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Dr. Kietzmann joined Alexandria Clinic in August 2008.


Steven M. Longbotham M.D.

Dr. Steven Longbotham was born and educated in the Twin Cities area. After graduating from high school in St. Paul, MN, he attended the College of St. Thomas, where he received his B.A. degree. He completed his M.D. degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and three-year residency at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center in St. Paul, MN.

Dr. Longbotham and his wife, Dr. Sandra Johnson, joined Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in 1986. He is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians.

His interests include ecology, canoeing, camping and gardening. Dr. Longbotham and his wife live in a 100-year-old farm house with their son, Dylan.


Dr. Stacey Luetmer Stacey L. Luetmer M.D.

Dr. Stacey Luetmer was born in Scottsdale, AZ, but was raised in Williston, ND. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1994, majoring in psychology. She then went to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks, ND and graduated in 1999. Her internship was completed through UND in Fargo, ND, and she finished her family medicine residency through the St. Cloud/Mayo program in March 2003.

Her special interests are women’s health, obstetrics and pediatrics, including those with special needs. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Minnesota Medical Association.

Dr. Luetmer and her husband, Ron, reside in Glenwood. They have four children, Adrianna, Abigail, and twins, McKenzie and McKenna. Her interests include family time, reading, scrapbooking and outdoor activities.


Anthony P. Lussenhop M.D.

Dr. Anthony Lussenhop was born and raised in Morton, MN. After earning his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN and his M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, he completed his family medicine residency in Duluth, MN.

Dr. Lussenhop joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in November 1997. He is board certified in family medicine.  He and his wife, Sue, along with their four children, reside in Alexandria. His interests include golfing, boating and skiing.


Jennessa N. Warzecha, M.D. Jennessa N. Warzecha M.D.

Dr. Warzecha is a native Minnesotan. She was born in Lancaster, MN and attended high school in Windom, MN. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris, where she studied Chemistry and Biology. Dr. Warzecha then received her M.D. degree from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. She completed her last year of training at the University of Minnesota Methodist Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program and joined the Alexandria Clinic in September 2007. She has special interests in obstetrics, women’s health and hospital-based medicine.

Dr. Warzecha enjoys running, cross-country skiing, fishing, traveling and playing the piano. She and her husband, Brian (who has joined the Douglas County Hospital as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), have enjoyed returning to a smaller community with their dog, Baxter.


Bruce R. Wymore M.D.

Dr. Bruce Wymore was raised in Mayville, ND. He attended Mayville State University and received his B.S. degree in Physics and Chemistry. After completing his M.D. degree at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, he spent three years in residency at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency in Casper, WY.

Dr. Wymore was in private practice for four years in Chewlah, WA before joining Alexandria Clinic, P.A. in October 1992. He is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians.  Dr. Wymore, his wife, Mindy, and children reside in Alexandria. He enjoys fishing, woodworking and chorus.
